What is the warranty on a MaxSteel Building?
MaxSteel offers two warranties on all purchases:
90 Day Workmanship Warranty – offered on all buildings, effective the day of installation.
20 Year Limited Warranty – to cover rust through of metal panels and steel tubing assuming normal user care and maintenance of the building.

Can I make Changes to My Order after it has been placed?
Changes are possible after an order has been placed, but there will be a change order fee. Also, changes may not be possible if fabrication of the building has already been started.
Please contact us directly if you have questions about your order and need assistance modifying an order.
What is the process after I have purchased my building?
After purchasing a building, a scheduled date of your carport building installation will be provided to you within a week of the order. You need to make sure the ground is level, the foundation is set, the area is cleared of debris and the crew has room to work around the building.
A MaxSteel Buildings representative will contact you to obtain photos of the installation area to ensure that it is level, safe and there is enough room for our crew to work. The installation crew will deliver and assemble your building. Once installation is completed, a magnetic roller will be used to sweep the assembly area to pick up most loose screws.
Can I make Changes to My Order after it has been placed?
Changes are possible after an order has been placed, but there will be a change order fee. Also, changes may not be possible if fabrication of the building has already been started.

Which Roof Style Is Best?
Choosing the right roof style is the starting point in selecting your carport, garage or other style of metal building. The best roof style will depend on weather and siting of the carport. A vertical roof style which promotes easier drainage might be best if the carport will be located in an area with heavy snowfall or near trees where a lot of debris may fall on it. If heavy rain, snow, or falling debris isn’t a major concern for you, then either a regular or boxed eave roof will work just fine. It all depends on how you want the building to look.
What is the Widest Building I can Buy?
The widest building Conestoga Builder’s has featured on our site is 24′ wide, but MaxSteel Buildings can create a 60’ single span commercial building. If you plan to order a building wider than 24′, please call us directly for options.
You may also consider adding a lean-to to each side. If added to a commercial structure they would also have to be commercial quality and require guidance from the MaxSteel engineering team to provide an accurate price.
What is the Longest Building I can Buy?
The longest building Conestoga Builders features on our site is a 41′ option, but MaxSteel Buildings can build to any length. Individual panels run 35’ foot long, so horizontal panels longer than 35’ will have seams. However, lengths of 200’ or more will require guidance from our engineer to ensure structural integrity and local building code requirements.
How is Height Measured? What is the Tallest Building I can Buy?
The tallest building Conestoga Builders features on our site is 16′. Our building heights are measured by the side (wall or post) height.The roof peek will naturally be taller, but the total height depends on the chosen width of the building due to our standard 3/12 roof pitch
Do Metal Buildings Need to be Installed on a Concrete Pad?
Most of the build configurations featured on Conestoga Builder’s website DO NOT need to be installed on a concrete pad. The need for a concrete pad depends on the building size, features, the location and your specific needs. Depending on your area, smaller and lighter buildings (such as carports) can be installed on level land, concrete slab, asphalt or wood. Please note that certified buildings cannot be installed on wood foundations and commercial structures must be installed on a concrete pad.

If Installing on a Concrete Pad, what Size Does it Need to be?
If you are installing your building on a concrete pad, the pad can be the same width as your building and up to 1 foot shorter than the length to accommodate the steel frame. The shorter pad length is due to the 6” of roof overhang on each end that is included in the total building length.
Will Your Installers Pour My Concrete Pad?
No, Conestoga Builders and our manufacturing partner, MaxSteel Buildings does not pour or contract the pouring of concrete pads. This is exclusively the responsibility of the customer.
What is building Certification and does my building need to be certified?
A Building Certification is a formal attestation that our building is manufactured to withstand a certain level of snow and wind loads. The requirement of certification depends on your local laws and regulations. Some areas will require a building to be certified to withstand snow or wind loads. Those load requirements are unique to each area, so make sure you determine the requirements for the delivery location before you place an order.
MaxSteel includes Building Certification free of charge on all buildings. MaxSteel buildings are designed to withstand 90 to 130 mph winds and 20 to 30 PSF ground snow loads.

Does the Job or Installation Site need to be level?
It is best if the site is level to within 4” of total slope, but MaxSteel Buildings can install on unlevel ground. If installation on un-level ground increases the effort of installation, the installation team reserves the right to apply on-site charges for the extra labor and materials needed.
We highly recommend calling Conestoga Builders and sharing photographs of the location and working with us at the time of order if the job site is not level so that disappointing surprises can be avoided.
